Our state-of-the-art panel build and machine shop has just expanded its punching and forming capabilities with the addition of a new TruPunch Trumpf Machine. This new acquisition has already expanded our range of machining operations with the fabrication of large pump housings to be used in commercial sprinkler systems; we’re also using the TruPunch for punching and forming metal panels for the customized truck industry. Our press operator has certainly put this compact Trumpf to the test with the completion of 61 power distribution centers (PDCs) that will be used for various gas and oil refinery installations.

The TruPunch 3000 is a precision machine known for its efficiency, speed and its smart processing features which optimizes the sheet layout of parts for a 10% decrease in scrap material. We value the fast 1000 stroke/min. speed which allows us to complete jobs much quicker; but quality control is our first priority, as all parts are double-checked by the press operator for dimensional conformity before release.

This highly automated punch provides for metal etching if the client requests and also has the ability to emulate a press brake with the formation of flanges up to 1″ during the punching process.  Efficiency is greatly enhanced as simultaneous operations of drilling and tapping occur during the high speed punching, yet these simultaneous operations won’t mar the finish of aluminum and stainless steel parts by enabling a function which allows the punching head to remain elevated above the metal sheet and stock to stay clear of any deformations.

The machine operates with a unique mechanical punching head, versus hydraulic, that quietly rotates all tools 360 degrees; has a linear magazine which holds a variety of punches and dies in the rapid tool change (RTC) cartridge with 4-direction table movement. Sheets up to 20×20 inches can be loaded from either side and finished piece metal is easily removed with a vacuum release from the die afterwards.

This high efficiency, automated punch will enable our shop to quickly process our client’s sheet metal requirements quicker and with more precision. Contact us to discuss your sheet metal processing needs today.
